If you're looking for pixels, you've come to the right place! We've got a million of the little things.

Pixels on The Million Dollar Homepage are available in 100-pixel 'blocks', with each block measuring 10x10 pixels. You will see the homepage is divided into 10,000 of these blocks. The reason for selling them in these blocks is because anything smaller than 10x10 pixels would be too small to display anything meaningful.

(However, if you want to own less than 100 pixels - eg. one pixel - you could always club together with family/friends/colleagues and buy a single 10x10 block.)

Each 10x10 block costs US$100, equating to a cost of $1 per pixel. You can buy as many blocks of pixels as you like, as long as there are some available (see the live stats in the top right corner of the page). Please read all of the following T's & C's if you are about to buy some pixels - especially those marked in red. Just so we all know what the score is :)

Terms and Conditions

• The minimum purchase is $100 (100 pixels), and the maximum purchase is whatever is left
• When you 'buy' my pixels you will not 'own' any part of the homepage or this site, but rather you are granted the right to submit an image and link which will then be published on the homepage in the respective space you have paid for
• You cannot change the image or link once you have submitted them, so you must be sure of the image & link you want on the homepage, which will be there for at least 5 years. The only exception is if you have a strong reason why you need a change to your image/link, eg. your site no longer exists, major structural change to your site, lawsuits, etc.
• If your image and link are accepted and published on the homepage, you cannot get a refund
• The site and homepage will be online for at least 5 years (starting from the day it launched), so at least until 26th August 2010, but possibly even longer (that's the aim)
• No obscene/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted, and I decide what is appropriate for my site. If you submit an image or link that is rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative, otherwise your money will be refunded and you will lose your pixels
• If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show offensive/obscene/adult material then your link will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get a refund of any kind for the link downtime
• If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the homepage, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become publically available again
• Images must be the exact size you have paid for (eg. 100 pixels = 10x10 pixels)
• Images must be in GIF or JPEG format, and a reasonable file size
• Images must NOT be animated (imagine how messy the homepage would look)
• Links must be to web pages only and begin with HTTP://
• You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit
• Funds must be fully received and cleared before your pixels go live on the homepage
• There might be occasional downtime for site maintenance but I'll try and keep these to a minimum
• Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (eg. in my PayPal or bank account), I will aim to get your pixels online within 24-48hrs (but please have patience if things kick off and loads of people order at the same time)

Ok great, so now you're all set to buy some pixels. There are two ways to pay for pixels: PayPal or 2CheckOut (for smaller amounts) and Wire Transfer (for bigger amounts).

PayPal / 2Checkout

PayPal or 2Checkout are ideal payment methods for purchasing 100 to 1,000 pixels. Because the pixels are sold in $100 blocks, please ensure you order the correct quantity of blocks when ordering. Once you have paid for your pixels, please e-mail pixels@milliondollarhomepage.com with the following:

1. Attach your image as a GIF or JPEG (must be the correct size for the pixels purchased)

2. State where you want your graphic to be placed on the homepage (eg. "50 blocks across, 20 blocks down"). Make sure you are certain, because you can't change it later.

3. State which website you would like your graphic linking to (must begin with 'http://')

4. State what TITLE/ALT text you want for your image, max. 50 characters. TITLE/ALT text appears when people hover their cursor over your image.

UPDATE (8th Oct): Current estimated time from ordering your pixels to going live on homepage: 24 hours (please allow up to 48hrs).

It's still worth getting in the queue as early as you can, in order to reserve your spot on the homepage. Please note if two or more people in the queue ask for the same position on the homepage, the person who ordered earliest will have priority.

Wire Transfer

A wire transfer of funds to my bank account is ideal for larger purchases of pixels, eg. $1000 and above. Please e-mail pixels@milliondollarhomepage.com if you would like to arrange the purchase of pixels using a Wire Transfer (a 10% deposit via one of the above payment providers may be required if you want your pixels to go live faster).
